I transcoded using Red Rushes with the DP's look, and all the footage looks OK but it looks like there is a white haze over all the clips. The overall clips now lack contrast.

Has anyone come across this and is there a fix?

I tried transcoding in Red Cine and although the footage looks better it's not what it looks like in Red Alert. How do I make transcoded files look like what I saw in Red Alert.

Any suggestions/settings would be great.

Thanks!

Ryan, what Color Space and Gamma Space settings are you using?

My guess is your not transcoding with the same gamma space as the DP was monitoring when he set his look, so your look file is not giving you the same results. Ask the DP what gamma and color space he was using as a base line.

Try removing the look and see if in your REC 709 settings the contrast looks normal. This will at least tell you if there is an issue with the .R3D raw file, which is unlikely.

Also, depending on what your exporting for REC 709 is not necessarily the best settings to use. If your just doing rushes for offline, then it might be. Talk to the DP.

**Also, one post is plenty to cover your question. Have some patience, you will usually get better answers that way.**
