Hi guys,

I just purchased a used 'Red Wing Grip' side handle for my Red Komodo 6K. It didn't come with any attachment equipment.
The Red Komodo site mentions 2 M4 captive mounting screws - if I search for those online I get directed to camera rig links.
I ordered a set of screws from SmallRig, but those M4s don't seem to fit the wing grip.
They do fit the fitting on the body itself, but won't get through the bottom of the grip.

Does anyone know which exact screws to get?

Thank you!IMG_3449-1.jpg

The grip mounting holes are threaded to retain the captive screws. Don’t try to attach with non captive or you will strip the threads.

I would imagine you could reach out to RED support and get the exact screws. But they are M4 x 12mm captive socket head screws. If you are having trouble running a normal M4 through the grip itself on its own you might need to run a tap through it to clean up the threads.

Also curse whoever removed the captive screws in the first place. Why.

I would get normal socket cap head not button head like that, you can get them from McMaster Carr and other places. Button head will work though as long as the head size isn't too large.

Does anyone know which Allen key/hex size fits these screws? I tried a 3mm and it's too small...
