  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Which look? IT's commercial about cancer

Even though you "cheated" I thought your grade was best.

After Phil's award is taken from him for using secondaries in Speed Grade, Matt is handed the crown.

<CHEER> "Well done Matt!" RCX Mastercraftsmen

I cheated and used Speedgrade :( Didn't know you wanted a pure R3D solution. I added a secondary on his teeth and a bit of a mask to soften the neck and his right shoulder.

Sharpening is tricky, use a bit and the still shot looks fantastic, but use too much and the motion shot is going to have artifacts. I wouldn't grade for stills the way I grade for motion. So this is essentially a stills grade competition.

I've enjoyed Alchemy's "clarity" slider when pulling stills of portrait work.

How much sharpening did you add?

Agreed, I was worried since we were just grading the still but the video of the grades Greg posted shows it turned out pretty good without visible sharpening artifacts.

Hey why not... everyone else is having a bit of fun.

Ive never seen a R3D RED GAMMA 3 with a tint value of 14 look so washed out... but hey, bit of fun to try bring it back to something.

What I was trying to get was his eye color. It's hard without secondaries.

There are some crazy things going on in the background, like almost brush stroke looks on the front of the car and the dot-art style of the gradients in the green. What kind of lens is this?

You have to host the image in an image hosting site, then insert link in the insert image box and it will embed.

Yeah the lens definitely looks different and soft.

A little late, but i definitely like your choice!
Thank you for sharing!
