  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

So I have this musicvideo finally encoded in ProRez444, in which it looks as it did on the reference monitor in the Color Grading.

I am trying to get a decent h.264 encode, but the shift in quicktime is just way to much. Too bright, less gamma, colorshifts. Nothing new I guess...

Would you guys mind to advise me on some decent h.264 encoders?

Thanks!

Use Compressor: with in a preset setting, go to the Filters Tab then to the Color tab and select "Preserve Source".

In the Encoder tab, select Video settings... change to Automatic then increase quality in the Compressor slider to High or Best.

Compressor's presets rarely do the job alone, you have to make some adjustments, but you should be able to get some great results with out shifts.
