Hello again,
once more a perhaps strange question:

Which firmware is the best or the most solid for a new Epic? Especially for commercial jobs?

I´m looking forward to your answers.

P.S.: @Terry VerHaar: Please, spare me ;-)

usually; just the latest release version…

Agreed. Avoid beta versions for commercial jobs but we load our Epic up with the latest release version as soon as we can.

of corse there are "additional rules" to "overrule" my rule;
1. don't change a working firmware during a project or shoot (if not necessary) -> basically the "never change a running system"-rule.
2. if you need a certain feature only available with beta firmware and you can live with the fact that you loose warranty with it on commercial jobs; go with it -> just make sure to know all the beta-glitches and do enough testing in advance before an actual shoot.
3. if you don't have time to test stuff; don't update on "hour one" after a fw-release -> better wait until first response appears online (this forum here is a good and fast source).

my attempt or personal best practice; always use the latest release build but only update after finished projects (not during shoots) or when needed because of certain features or bugs/glitches…

Make copies of the last couple release versions and store them on a laptop you take with you on shoots.
