  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Which DAM do people recommend?

Hi everyone,
Generic question, but which Digital Asset Management software/system do people use/recommend? We've been looking at this question for a few weeks now and haven't really hit on anything thats idea. The closest we came was Cantemo, which does now accept Red RAW in the latest version - but we're not really happy with the fact that it has to be run on Linux software and lack of feeding into Resolve/RedCine. We use both Adobe Premiere CC and Final Cut Pro for editing, with some Resolve and RedCine thrown in for grading, editing, stills etc...

We have a situation where nearly everything we film needs to be logged, and be easily accessible in the future - so would welcome anyone's views, thoughts and suggestions!

Cheers
Richard

What about for PC?

We use NeoFinder cheap and good.

Adrian,
Thanks for taking the time to reply. I've only had a quick look at the website ( although I see its both Mac and Windows based ) but how do you find it with RED RAW files? We're looking for something that will allow us to preview, and ideally feed into FCPX and/or Premiere CC, while at the same time store notes about the shots, keyword information and GPS data (if available). From your experience would NeoFinder achieve that?

I will admit, I was thinking something more in-depth video related when I asked the question.

Anybody use anything else? We're on Macs, but a PC option may be possible as well....
