Hello all! I am looking for some of you advice/commentary. I have shot predominantly on spherical lenses with projects, but I am looking into anamorphic adapters like the one from SLR magic, and then later in the near future, a PL mount anamorphic lens. Now I will be using this on the Scarlet-W and Weapon models so that means of course that I can shoot 4:3 or 16x9 so I am aware of the conversion measurements. But in your opinion, which is better for look and quality of the two? I love all of the aspects anamorphic brings like wider field of view, unique bokeh and flares, but I have heard that the 2.0 doesn't have as strong horizontal resolution and I've seen that the 1.33 the bokeh isn't as oval. I think I have seen great examples of each, but not enough to choose. So if any of you had a choice, what would it be and why? Also, what else do I need to consider from a tech standpoint before buying a PL mount anamorphic lens since I will shoot this on the RED? (For example flange distance, etc.)
Thank you all in advance! Sorry for such a big, broad topic, but I have seen some amazing feedback on this site! Also, if you have great links, send some examples, I'd love to watch!
Sincerely,
Chris
