Don't you guys have any new build or post software update to tease us with? All I've been seeing is Scarlet this and Epic that. How about a new build 17 or even better, let's just skip to 19! I've got these 16 gig cards that I can't use and I'd really like to. Build 17 was cool until I started using it on shoots. Now it's just for camera prep.

That's great that it works for you guys and trust me, I want it to work. Increased boot hangs, playback issues and a corrupt video file are things that I just can't have. And yes I've had them all. I've tried reinstalling B17 and it doesn't help. I do not have these issues with B16. I don't want to argue about this because clearly, people have been using this build with no problems. On the other hand I know many people with these same issues with build 17. I'm just ready to move on.

I'm with SFGeek. Said it before in another thread.

RB17 is not solid, and yet there's a BB18?

Like with everything else, it's just a matter of time before they fix it.

I actually skipped B17, never installed it on my camera. I've been on 18 since a day or so after its released.

Let's be honest here, it has some issues, but none that make me want to roll back to B16. I never had a boot hang until I installed B18, but I've only had 2 now and the first one I seriously think it was an improperly mounted battery issue. Even with its quirks, and all the firmware issues have had some glitches, it's still all beta as far as I'm concerned, I still trust it for real work. Work in demanding environments at high altitude with extreme cold and high winds. The camera is a workhorse... If people are having regular problems in a studio environment, then maybe they need to get their camera checked. Or maybe they need to put that camera into some real sh!t and show it who's boss. :)

I'm ready for B18 final and hopefully B19 beta soon after. Wheeeeee! I haven't ordered any 16GB CF cards yet. I've been holding my breath for that SSD drive. :whistling:

Yep. I have experienced more boot hanging with B17, but I love my 16GB card and the new reader, so I will deal with it.

I have gotten used to boot hanging at this point.

It is interesting though. Each camera seems to have its own "personality". A friend of mine has had a lot of "cold weather" issues with his camera. He used mine as a back up and it worked fine.

Strange.
