  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Where to Post? rumors....

What's happening...

What's happening...

I called PlasterCITY today to get some help with a RED related problem (even though Michael isn't there anymore). In the past I've talked to there CTO Steve Beres who I got to know a little bit at an HPA event he was speaking at... Guess what the guy who answered the phone told me... Mr. Beres is no longer with PlasterCITY!!! Not sure what's happening over there but it can't be good if all the smartest guys in town are all leaving...

Neil, I'd like to give you a call later today to see if you can help me out.

Paul,

Call us anytime today - 323 850 3550 .... we'll do our best to help you and provide a professional finish to your project .. the very first images from the first prototype RED were graded in our DI theater for IBC 2006 (remember the Oakley watch and cigar smoking pixs) and we've been working closely with RED, Assimilate and Apple on optimizing RED workflow since August 2006.

We're situated on the old Warner Hollywood Lot in West Hollywood next to the Formosa Cafe, so if you're in the area, feel free to pop in and see us.

Cheers,
Neil

I did not expect this thread to go on like this... I have found a post house and so far I am very pleased, Thank you everyone for your offers and for the help on this forum.

I have to say that I am glad I decided to look around, if Plaster City lost their Chief Technology guy too there must be some serious drama going on there!!! two people lost for such a small company must really hurt not matter what they are saying. IMHO

Just curious - what exactly happened to PlasterCity Digital Post? Michael left and it seems they closed down the company soon after that, or? Now there's a company called Oasis Imagery at the same address. I've tried to Google it, but can't find any trace of the company closing down. The previous website: http://www.plastercitypost.com/ is now owned by some domain-sharks...

I so remember Plaster City.
There were 2 guys whom helped us a great deal with my 1st RED feature when times were extremely tuff.

I never knew anybody else except Katie Fellion.
They were all at Plaster City an awesome place back then.

When they left I didnt receive any of the same treatment which really bummed me out, so I tracked them down to Light Iron.

The new Location of Light Iron in Hollywood is something else.
If you haven't seen it you should check this place out.

Reducation got to go threw the place in detail and the post students were thrilled.

If you like or need post you have to see this place its IT.

Yeah I know about Light Iron. I was just curious about what the story was about Plaster City and why or how they seized to exist ;-)
