  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Where in line are we and how manmy ordered?

Different process in Europe.

Nice, I managed to get in 8:25 on the 3rd and my order number is 50981 so that would make me 131. Canon AL package. I heard that there were about 200 orders in L.A.

If we are able to name them, then mine shall be known as: Serengeti

The general idea is they started at around SO 50850... (the online order number)

But then, you still don't how many Scarlets are ordered. Nobody knows how many Scarlets are already produced and at what pace production is running. And nobody knows how many can be shipped daily. Bottom line: patience :-) This can take a few months. Watch the forum.

I think it's not that bad. A lot of people just put bids in on the camera packages they wanted and not much else the first night because things were so slow. Many I'm sure put in another order or two the following day for accessories. I know I did.

I am SO-0051210 actually for my Scarlet X order How do you think I fair?

Based on this I should be 400 or less in line, BUT, and a big BUT, I bought a AL mount. I hope I'm soon.
 
No one really knows. I don't think that we heard any info on this end from RED.
 
You guys did get an email message naming the Order Number didn't you? It would start with an SO... It is typical with manufacturing to run the sales orders numerically. For example when RED sold their first item, the sales order number would be 1, or 01, or 001, or something like that. They may choose to start it at 100, or 1000. The only way to really know where we stand in the order process is to know what the first number of the first SCARLET sold was... Then we could judge how many orders sold before we got our orders in. :)

Well if 50850 is the starting number, then I'm not that far behind with 51148, and I ordered at 10:30pm on the 3rd.

And I ordered a PL mount version, which will be starting to ship today. The other mounts will ship later.
 
I feel like there are several hundred if not a 1000's of scarlets waiting to go off the line. RED has learned not to release a product without some in hand.

I think the line will move faster than you think.

I tried to draw quickly, but it seems that the choice of AI mount might come back to "shoot me in the ass" :-)

Not matter what ... it's all good.
