  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Where did Sanjin go?

I certainly miss his way oversized images and huge, bold colored text in his posts. They made threads here seem more... alive.

+1 on bringing Sanjin back.
 
sanjin's banning and unbanning cycle is a reduser tradition for as long as i can remember... let's keep it going :)

Pretty sure he sold his RED and bought a C300. Not that I was a big fan of his late night rants, but once in a while he did post some informative stuff due to his constant scouring on the net ;-)
 
We've had some contact.

He is as inquiring as ever and has as strong opinions about things as ever.

And he is fun and bastant like he was back when he was the big sony warrior.

There are some issues with his methodology when testing and his very strong conclusions, I guess. But he is passionate in his way, and I would really love to see him back here.

His workflow tips and theoretical background can be sketchy some times, but he uses the cameras "like many do" which is in itself very informative. Not because of his conclusions, but due to approach.

The numerous examples are good to have.

But I think his love for GH2 and skintones on C300 may have created a certain level of irritation. But he is/was a good mirror for me and a lot of the redusers in general.

I remember "back in the day" when all was new, how he managed to get hold of Scratch and made it run on a MacBookPro under Bootcamp, which it was not supposed to be working on. and his enthusiasm for the cineform debayering of the RED files, before it was shut down. His ability to transgress and break rules, is a good thing. And is in many ways in the RED spirit.

Hope to see him back here if he bothers to, allthough I don't promise not to get pissed at some of the bullshit on post or exposure he comes up with... :-))

I really miss the guy.
Learning from some crazy stuff he does and getting angry to some crazy shit he says.
Nice guy.
