Hey everyone,

Quick question for you. I know Plaster City and a few others have the ability to project via a 2k projector while in an editing suite.

What I am looking for is to view some of the submarine footage we have shot on a 2K projector without having to go all the way to California or New York. Does anyone know of a location that is affordable in Florida? All I want to do is project about an hour or two of dailies just so I can judge how it looks and how I am doing as DP for this submarine project.

Any ideas? We are located near West Palm Beach. Orlando or Miami perhaps?

Try Mike Most at Cineworks in Miami - (305) 754-7501.

He posts regularly here on this board, and if they don't have a 2k projector (I'd be surprised) I'm sure he can point you in the direction of one.

We do have a 2K projector in a full DI suite fed from a Scratch system. We'd be happy to help you out.

As usual, you guys rock!!!! Thank you very much.

Mike, I will be in touch.

Jon

Watch out for Mike! :-)

Cineworks is as well set up as any place in LA, and Mike is immensely knowledgeable and professional. As soon as you complain about a little noise here or a blown highlight there, or mudded colors over there, and he shows you how easily it all can be fixed in their suite, you'll end up doing all your post work with him...which provided you can afford it, is not a bad thing at all :-)

I talked to Mike today and he sounds like a fantastic guy to work with. I am looking forward to meeting him.

Thanks again guys for you help on this. I hope this all works out because we may end up using Cineworks for the DI.

Statusfilms,

I just sent you a PM, please have a look at it.
