  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

where can I buy mini-bnc connectors ("cornered", just like the Red's)?

I would like to buy some mini-bnc connectors, like the Red's BNC to DIN 1.0/2.3 cable has, anyone knows where? I need the ones that look exactly the same, like bent 90 degrees.

like these, http://www.red.com/store/790-0048
thanks

Thanks, I'll try to look it up =)
But what do these mean?

52-105-B0-AH RG58, 58A, 141A
52-105-B0-AK RG142, 223, 400
52-105-B0-AD RG174, 188A, 316
52-105-B0-AB RG179, 187A
52-105-B0-BD BT3002

Do I need a particular one? Or...?
Maybe you already have some links to online stores?

Thanks a lot!

The different numbers after the part numbers are the cables the connectors will work with. Different cables have different ohm ratings. I'm guessing you want RG179 for 75 ohms, but maybe someone can confirm.

just get the Element Technica Breakout Box and forget about the mini DIN Connectors, you can use your standard BNC kables without thinking about adapters.

couldn't find any on ebay! damn I'm dumb!! what exactly should I look for? "din 1.0/2.3 right angle crimp" gives me 0 results!

even for 3$ it's not worth it. My first two month with red was with mini din and i had troubles with the cables all the time... and change it 3 times in two months.

Element Technica BreakouBox is the way to go. Seriously.

We're just making a breakout box ourselves, which will be $50 + the price for mini-din connectors, thats why I'm looking for them small ones!

So can anyone confirm, is it RG179 for 75 ohms??
