  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Where Are All The Women On Reduser ?

There are several amongst you here at Reduser, some of them very active contributors too. And I'm sure there are many more who sit back and observe, wondering how it's possible the male population could be so illogical about certain things. I would love to see more female perspective here. There are some very talented female DPs, DITs, Camera ACs, etc. that I have met along the way.

I read Timescapes often but haven't signed up for an account...probably cuz I squander too much time here, as it is!

The best boys I have ever met have been on productions - camera teams seem to attract very high quality, ethical, hard-working and likeable guys, in general. I think as these technologies get lighter, you'll see more women working with them. Lugging around RED cameras on big stabilizing systems is not for the faint of heart.

Overrated, in my opinion. No variable frame rates. All in boring 50/60P. :)

Too funny. Yes, this question has come up before. See, it's like being at a party, and all the guys are huddled together, chirping giddy, and every once in a while one looks around and askes 'Hey, where did all the chicks go?', then back to the huddle. Course, the chicks are out making films.
 
I think women have a broa... I mean wider perspective, and recognize that cameras are just tools.
Of course us guys have a tendency to get a little blinded because of all the time we spend manipulating and talking about our tools... Ehm.
