When the RED RAID?

[studio.dmd]

Is there any prevision abot the release date of the RED RAID for the uncompressed 4K recording?

Red Raid

No release date at this time for a RED RAID, although we are currently working to ensure compatibility of our RAW PORT fibre optic output with some existing Digital Disk Recorder systems.

Stuart, we have RAW PORT on order.
Are you planning to ship it this year together with the camera?
Also existing Digital Disk Recorder systems you mentioned, will it be stand alone or computer based?

Can anybody with 'off the shelf' parts, make a system to record data off the raw uncompressed port?

Cheers,

Stuart,

I know Adam has spoken to Graeme about this very matter in regards to capturing a RAW signal off of the REDONE optical port to our ICON recorder. This seems like it would be an ideal on-board, uncompressed RAW 4K+ recording solution. We are very excited at the possibilities this may entail.
