When Scarlet releases...should we expect manuals?

I think Scarlet will end up in the hands of a lot of people who aren't familiar with film-style cameras (like me), but want the resolution and quality. Plus, at the price point for the fixed lens and 2/3" body, it's cheap to buy one and play with it until you learn the system.

Having said that, should we expect a printed manual or downloadable PDF that walks you through the camera, the menu options, etc...? I think it would be incredibly useful it this was available and you weren't left having to sort through 10 billion posts on Reduser just to read about how the camera functions. Plus, if it's downloadable, people could at least run through the manual before they buy or rent or before their camera ships to famailiarize themselves with the basic operations.

Or is there something like this already for the Red camera? I don't remember seeing a link to it, but then again I haven't actively looked because Red is out of my league right now (in operations and price).

Hopefully there will be good documentation available prior to at or the release of the cameras. Anyone else think this would be a good idea?

Michael.

I'd just like to add in that red could consider doing the first ever video manual for the camera. I know that I personally would find that a video manual indexed similar to a pdf file would be amazing! It wouldn't need tremendous production value, but just a live demonstration of how to adjust features. This has the potential to be even less time consuming than making a written manual and far more effective to teach people the product. I know I learn a lot better by seeing something done than by reading it out of a book.

The RED ONE does have an operations manual, and although it doesn't go into extreme depth on some of the more complicated areas, it does cover a wide range of basic subjects, including a description of all menu options.
