  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

When do we need to put down the 5000$ deposit for stage 3 ?

I'm assuming soon. Truthfully I didn't even realize we could put any money down until a few days ago (I missed the thread). Was there an official email that went out - if so I didn't get one?
I'm 1830 - so I imagine I've still got a couple months to wait until delivery.

I thought it had to be in by Dec 1st., but I realize, anything can change at any time, and I'm OK with that. I am however jonesing for my EPIC-X Stage III. I already told one producer that there might be a "glitch" in the shooting schedule caused by me sending my RED ONE away. He hasn't called back ...... I had just convinced him to shoot 4K rather than 1080P, then I hit him with the possible disruption. (I don't care ... they were mostly Zombies, anyway)

Contact your bomb squad rep ASAP! Deadline supposedly expired on the first, perhaps they don't have your current email on file or there's' some other reason you didn't get the official email that went out a while ago.
 
It's the weekend... so I'm going to have to wait until Monday.
I'm trying to Pay the 5000$ now, but it won't let me "add to cart / or pay" ? I see my camera number (1830) and the box is "checked"... but I dont see how I can pay?
Anyone experience this?

Does anyone know John Restivo's business email address (Red.com) ?
I PM'd him but I'd like to email him regarding stage 3 as well.

I just looked at the email and followed the link to the store and there is no indication of any deadline.
 
Where are people getting these dates from? The email I received confirming reservation does not mention any dates. It just states that once Red are ready to check out your red for the exchange you will be notified.

well they were on the red.com/store/epic bit but stage 3 is no longer available on there...so...no way of showing you I guess unless it buried somewhere in the recon threads,

It did say Dec 1st but I'm thinking that was just to click the button on the Stage 3 thingy since I had this discussion before and it sounded like it was 'make a reservation' not 'pay the deposit' by december 1st... I could be wrong of course...since i paid the deposit right after clicking but the fact that its not there i guess signifies that Stage 3/3.5 reservations are now closed?
 
As far as I know the reservation was supposed to be done before the 1st of december, but they were not going to be difficult about the deposit. You're supposed to be contacted by your bomb squad guy, but they're so busy that I assume it's taking them much longer than they expected
 
I'm a little confused by the "Deadline to sign up and deadline to pay the deposit" talk. It was my understanding that there was only ONE option for Stage 3 and that was to pay your deposit of $5000 by Dec. 1 if you and your camera are eligible.

How do you "sign up" without paying your deposit until a later date?
 
To confirm and execute my RED One I paid $5K as the deposit, was there another way, this locks you in, but I got an email same day as the Nov. 3rd announcement that Stage 3 was open for reservations and deposit had to paid then to do so. You should have gotten an email. If you didn't, better call RED up and see what they can do for you.

I didn't see any way to confirm Stage 3 without paying deposit. But we should pay a deposit to confirm our intentions. I'm good with that.

You have to pay the deposit to confirm and execute. If you don't pay by credit card at the time you reserve, the other option is to choose wire transfer. They were not going to penalize people who chose the wire transfer where it takes extra time to get that money in and assigned to that customer's account.

Dates were mentioned on the forum and were on the reservation page, which is no longer functional.

Best thing to do is contact your bomb squad rep to answer questions and get your reservations sorted out, especially if you never received the Stage-3 email notification.

Once your reservation is in and deposit paid, you are put in the queue for EPIC-X delivery. When you have a camera allocated for delivery, RED will notify you and will need the rest of your payment. Typically they have given 30 days to make the final payment from this point. However, I know there are still lots of questions about Stage-3 logistics and the returning RED One bodies.

I took a look on my email and it's written something else... What is more and above all, I have read Alan saying that I will be contacted for this payment however nothing is happening and I don't want to loose my place...

Is it different, for european people ? Do we have to wait a PRO FORMA invoice ?

Meddy, did you chose through Wire transfer over credit card? If so, they'll contact you, you haven't lost anything...your all good. Thats what Jeff said,

those that chose credit card had money deducted straight away, those that chose Wire transfer can keep trying to contact their bomb squad rep (they are slammed but at least RED will know you have attempted to contact them and so you won't lose anything).

Essentially, as long as you chose an option. You've attempted to make contact. Your good. Now when they make contact back, make haste in paying :)

My note after reserving the camera was that the deposit was due by Dec 15th.
