hello,

what's the best shutter angle to use for horizontal pans? I've recently seen some tests at 180 and 270º and they both are strobing. I would think that 360 would be better than 270, but I'm not the DP.

Could it also be the refresh rate of my screen, i'm on an apple 30" cinema display, i've noticed that the stobing is much less pronounced when I make my playback window smaller on frame.

thanks

Horizontal pans are almost always going to look choppy. Either pan slowly or live with the reality. It shouldn't be "abnormal" looking though at 180º, as this is pretty much the standard. Tilts however don't have this problem.
