What's the best on-set Komodo workflow? On monitor

I've been looking at the monitors I'm getting, and I realized that I'm a little unclear about how most people check certain things about their footage before filming. Now that I've learned the traffic lights -- I'm not sure why false color would still be necessary as a second step? Do I then worry about white balance, or do I worry about that in post... etc.

Any thoughts on this about what your "pages" are on the monitor that you go through to make sure you have a good image?
