Currently I use a 17'' Panasonic field monitor (lowest end) and to be honest the off-axis color gets so bad that I don't care for it much. Left my job so now I need my own solution.
I was going to pick this monitor up so I could watch movies, but... I hear it's reference level, too? What would it take to calibrate it to:
very close to rec709 (enough for doing stuff in house and on spec for fun)... with my AE2000U projector there's a mode that is this good by default, so I'm assuming it's just a matter of entering values online.
good enough for professional work?
Thanks. Going to get an intensity shuttle work on my rMBP in Resolve and Color.
