What would be the fastest shipping option between Raven or Scarlet-W?

I love Raven, yes...

But, the time is money - 3 Month waiting ? or Work + Rental rate is kind of making me wonder what's more efficient and effective.

because in May, I am going to shoot a feature film and we might need to rental two dragons for that indie shooting. For me, it would be really greatful, if I get the rental invoice through my equipment instead of rent them from others.

I hope I got the camera at March, and some says it might be delayed until may or June.

Than I looked up other options, Body only option might be shipped around Feb - Than again, I was thinking of getting Off Hollywood's Omod, but it wasn't available yet either.

Suddenly, Scarlet-W is announced, and it seems Scarlet-W will be shipped earlier than Raven. If I get scarlet-W in Feb, I am def sure that I can cover 5k within three month.

Bomb squad told me that delivery expectations are similar. I have been thinking the same thing. I just pre ordered though so I'm way back on the list either way I'm sure.

if you were going to order right now, i bet youd get the raven first. scarlet ships first, but most people switched to the scarelt once it was announced, so the raven list might be shorter…but seriously, there is no way to actually tell.

Bomb squad reps can never give any solid dates unless it's pretty much next month.

For example, if I put a deposit for Raven this month, and then comes April/May Ravens have already been shipping for a month or so, I still would not be able to get any information from my bomb squad rep about how close or far I am from shipping?

Once everything's shipping they get better with this kind of info, but right now there's just no point in asking for dates or estimates, the best they can give you is Month, and even that is subject to change as always.

My understanding is that the two models are going to be assembled in tandem. Maybe with two lines. Could be they are going to only start up after the Mg Weapon is complete and that could alter the schedule to sooner or later.

You really won't get any specific info on your order until you get notified that it is ready to ship. With the exception of the RED ONE, when we were told which group we were in, RED has not provided specific information on where you are in line.

Scrarlet-W and Raven are new in that there is no trade-in program that could slow things down. Unless things change, you will just need to be patient and wait for your number to come up. The Bomb Squad reps can help you figure out what you need and get stuff ordered, but they really don't have the information to tell you where you stand in line or how long it will be before your number comes up.

Hopefully the fact that there are no trade ins makes the process run smooth. Hope it doesn't sound like I'm complaining. Just eager, and I've now learned my lesson moving forward. Guess the plus side is, I will be able to see some of the 3rd party accessories, new side handle and etc. that start to roll out close to and after the release and make the best possible shooting kit for myself.

Our silver lining could be, Scarlet W took so many preorders from Raven that we still end up getting ours in March. Or the improvements of Red as a company accompanied with it being a new camera with no preorders to slow it down, as Stacey said, could also lead us to a March or April shipment. That would be ideal. But all we can do is wait and see what happens.
