I'm curious to know what some of you will be shooting with your Scarlet(s). I know that EPIC users are probably shooting different things than Scarlet users are going to be shooting, but, I'm just wondering. :-)

I personally will be shooting a lot of stock footage and will be doing Planet Earth and Life-style documentary projects. I'm excited about the Canon mount as that allows for the use of a wide variety of macro and telephoto lenses that can now be used with Scarlet. I may do a few commercials and/or short films also.

So, what will you be shooting?

Demo/Promo Videos for companies and music videos to pay the bills... Mountain bike film is my main motivation. :D

I travel a lot so I enjoy putting together montages of different cultures of the places I go. I am also planning a feature so I intend to use it for that. In addition, I may try to find documentary work too.

Soccer games and cats for you tube.

Seriously, I am going to start with shorts.

My Dead Roommate.

It's a feature script I never sold because nobody read it.
I might shoot it myself.

And some PSAs, some vids for Sermon Spice. Whatever needs shot.

Shorts, features, music videos. Docs. Anything that pays the rate except porn (nothing against porn, just don't like shootin it.)

Got 3 shorts and a PSA already lined up and waiting for me to receive my Scarlet-X. Filming is slated for late January, early Feb. So should have enough time for delivery. Can't wait to get the camera asap and start some camera tests.

How much does it cost to build a helicopter like that? Also, is it gas powered or electric?

I have around $15K in each of the two of this type I have built. It is powered by a 52cc twin cylinder gas engine and can carry a 10 lb. camera on the nose at up to 55 mph for 35 minutes at a time. We also have electric powered version but I prefer the gas for heavier cameras.
