  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

What version of Quicktime for Redcine 3.1.2, on a Windows XP Pro 32 bit system?

Perhaps try rendering to DPX and turning that into QT via After Effects or something.

I'm a Scratch guy so I don't use RedCine all that much, but in testing and occasional use I have rarely had a problem with DPX output. I've experienced some odd Quicktime hiccups, but I'm not fond of that format and tend to expect the worst when I'm forced to use it in any software.

cheers,

jt

Thor, thanks! for testing.
I will test some more, but my experience is that it just moves the memory blocks around if you change the QT ver. and you hit this bug if not on the first clip than somewhere later.

Once it works solid than it works with 7.3 and 7.5
As to 7.4 there was some other issue on Macs.

Still waiting for RED to respond to my TT that I opened last week on this.

Andrew,

I've been able to successfully output one clip at a time without the freeze frame issue.

Also, I deleted the files in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\REDCINE folder, and restarted my computer.

This workflow is limping, but it is struggling toward the finish line.

I'm a bit surprised that no one from Red has chimed in.

The SDK should be here soon, and that will hopefully solve many of these problems.
