Hi,

I was curious to see what people were using to mount Red LCD's on hand-held rigs, such as Mantis. I was going to custom make something, but if there was something solid, I'd like to purchase.

Any suggestions, experience, goods and bads?

Thanks,

I used the Nanoclamp by manfrotto which is really versatile. Mount the clamp anywhere on the mantis tubes and use your Noga arm to connect to it and the monitor. Very solid and cheap, like 40 bucks at B+H.

Nano clamp user here. I'm very satisfied with it's use and more than strong enough for a 5.6" LCD monitor and the price is unbeatable:
BH: $28.80
Speedy clamp:$125

Check out the attached photo from the ET web site. This is how I mount the RED LCD on my Red cameras. In this photo the Speedy Clamp is clamped onto a top rod, but it can just as easily clamp onto the Mantis arm as well. This setup is strong, multi-adjustable, and I can quickly pop the LCD on and off the rig via the V-Lock. The ET parts used are the L bracket on the LCD, V-Lock, and Speedy Clamp - then also the Red Arm. Speedy Clamps come in 15mm and 19mm.

ET stuff seriously rocks...
