  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

What sort of glitch is this?

Was shooting late night football images and found this single frame in one of the clips, three frames into the shot. Everything fine after it. Never seen this before, looks to me like some sort of voltage spike. Shooting original sensor, 2K, 2:1, 120fps, 800 ISO. Running off the battery during this shot. Was cold, around 34ºF, frost building up on everything, didn't see any on the camera, kept it covered between shots.

Any thoughts?

Good idea, just checked and it's in the original on the Red drive as well as the backup on the RAID.

And this isn't totally typical either...

Two questions?
If you play it back from the camera, the result is like what we see here?

The file plays back fine after the bad frame? (in FCP/RCX/Whatever)?

If there is a yeas to both, I'd file a support ticket.... and try to swap my drive-cable...

I haven't had the chance to hook the drive back up to the camera to see if it would play back there, but I would suspect it would. Yes, the file plays fine after that lone bad frame. This was right in the middle of the shoot too. No glitches before, none after that I have been able to find.

I had something like this occur about a month ago, MX, Build 30.6.
While cueing a clip for playback, the camera output went in to this mode.
All funtionality froze. Rebooting was the only way to unlock it from this mode.
Previously recorded clips appeared to be fine. Aside from giving the DP a healthy scare, there were no other issues.
