Since we are in the market for a used Scarlet-X Camera, I need to know from those of you that use them, what we can get away with as far as accessories. I'm trying to find out what Red-One accessories we already have will work on the Scarlet.

1 - Can we use a Red-Brick Battery for power? (same ones used for Red-One)

2 - If we can use a Red-Brick, can we use the same Brick Battery Plate and Cable to connect to the Scarlet?

3 - Is there any way the old Red Drives can be used, or do we have to use SD Cards?

4 - Can we use the same AC Adapter we use on our Red-One for the Scarlet?

5 - Can we use the "original" Red EVF for the viewfinder?

6 - Is the monitor connection the same as that of the Red-One's? In other words, will it connect to the same external monitors as a Red-One would?

7 - Do we "absolutely" have to have the 5" Touch Screen Monitor to change menu settings, or can we see those in the Red EVF?

8 - If you know of any other Red-One accessories we can use, please let me know.

Your help is appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

1. Yes
2. you will need a 2b to 1b adapter for the battery plate
3. Nope, redmags only
4. nope, maybe with adapter
5. Yes
6. Yes
7. You can use the redmote or sidehandle.
8. mainly just rail setups

Not 100% guaranteed, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong

4) As long as it's a newer 150W model, and with the 2b to 1b adapter cable. Original 100W MAY work with very stripped down Scarlet with just the LCD or the EVF attached.

5) Yes, as long as the firmware is v8 or above. (Watch the EVF while the Red One camera is booting up).

7) You can see the settings in the EVF, but as Jett said you need either the Redmote or Sidehandle to actually change the settings.
