Hello everyone, i wonder what prime lenses can you advice me for 16-18K budget? I have letus ELite with relay and XDcam F350 :) i want to buy lenses.

i find Zeiss Compact primes but if these lens are same Zeiss ZF lens why i must pay more money? or they are not same?

zf's are the same glass but better housings and more blades in the iris. You would have to add lens gears as well. They are a good economical solution but if you have that much money I'd start looking at the current crop of PL lenses. You are almost at the price of a Red pro prime set but those are overkill for a Letus and I don't know that the Letus can support that much weight.
The compact primes will still be useable on a full-frame sensor if you need lenses for a FF epic.
here's the differences in the zf's and the compact primes

Shane Kelly thank you :) i have read this article about diference between Compact and Ultra prime and master prime :)

i want to know real results :) how does it work. red prime are too heavy? as i know there are more epensive thn compact prime or not?

here's some prices on the compact primes http://www.letus35.com/cart/Cine-Lenses/
so they run about $4200 per lens versus Red's $3800 per lens (if you buy the set).
The RPP's are a lot bigger and heavier but they are faster. If I had your money to spend, I'd buy the Red pro Primes (for my red) but, for a letus, I'd simply buy the zeiss zf's. and get myself a decent mattebox and follow focus.

Red.com
$19000 for the set of 5.

Yes, for general use with a Red or similar... but not good for a Letus, too big and heavy.
I think the best option may be to look for a good set of Zeiss Standards T2.1. They are small and light, optical quality exceeds requirements, and you´ll spare some money. Regular sets 16/24/32/50/85mm in very good shape are selling for approx. 15k here, just wait...

Don't forget the Zeiss standards do not cover FF35 or anywhere near that, as the letus was designed to be used with still lenses ( originally ) then you would have to zoom into the GG quite a way to avoid vignette, especially on the wider lenses. I would go for something with better coverage re-housed stills, K35's if you can find them, maybe just cherry pick what you can for your money 18/35/50/100. If you can afford the RPP's they are big but if your on sticks you can easily use a support for the 25 and the 35.

I have a set of old standards, the type there were originally in standard mount. They cover on the new 4.5k but you can see the porthole in the look space. they forsure won't cover full. I am not sure if the newer standard speeds will cover 4.5k

They don't have to cover 4.5K, it's up to you, but with the 35mm Adapters the more real-estate you have to zoom into the better. Zeiss standards would be fine on the longer end, but the wides would require some zooming. However from what i remember the letus doesn't really have a problem with that.

honestly.. unless you have to have the PL mount.. the ZF's are best bang for buck lens.. they look great.. have great focus throw.. and duclos can easily add gears and declick the iris.. the only downside is the fluctuating aperture from lens to lens.. but its not a killer
