What or Who (TF) is LandMine9?

Every time I select any hyperlink on the forum I see 'Connecting to www.landmine9.com' appear in the progress bar, only to be replaced at the time of loading by the normal reduser.net. Never seen them before, just a pretty bland portal page with a logo against a brick wall. Any ideas who or why this is happening?????

I suspect it is where the ad server for this site lives. The banner at the top right loads from there.

I was going to post about this yesterday - page loads were hanging while waiting for a response from landmine9.com for the ads. Might be worth getting a better ad server?

Yes, it is the ad server. In reference to the page load hanging, that should not be an issue any more. We've made some modifications to both the ad server and the process by which ads are requested by the forum page.

HI in general how can i prevent any ad server from loading its add on my intenet page .. (i know there is an option in firewall program ) but id it is not working how can i do it ?:waaa:

First, you send the operator of the website $5 every month to make up for the ad revenue you are stealing from them...

Relevant, unobtrusive advertising is what keeps awesome websites such as this one free. Would you rather pay a membership fee everywhere?

Landmine is the name of the parent company.. the company that owns Reduser. Ads are on a seperate server as not to slow down the content server. Larry has improved the code so it loads at the bottom of the page instead of the top so it should stop hanging.

use Add washer or simply use Opera browser, where you can clik on adds you want to block its great to get rid of it and webpage load more quickly!
