What monitor hood are you using?

I have the Red Touch 7” monitor, and even with the wooden camera hood, i still end up looking at myself in the screen on a normal sun lit day. Any thoughts on what hoods out there might offer more control over this without having to get the new high bright touch monitor? Anyone used the new tilta hood for the 7”? Hoodman? Etc

I've used the Hoodman for years, and it's ok. You gotta really have your face in there and helps to be wearing a black hat and shirt... I think the high bright is probably the inevitable route for me to make shooting outdoors much easier and better.

I ended up using a 7" smallrig velcro hood. Worked about the same as any other hood I would've purchased. It's almost inevitable to move to the newer monitor in the near future. Part of me almost wants to ditch the RED solution altogether and go for a 3rd party brand and use foolcontrol/sidekick. It's just so nice to have the touchscreen.

I have literally all of the above mentioned hoods and the one that’s the best built is actually the one from Tilta. It’s has a metal frame that the hood Velcros to. The other ones would shift and fall off especially with any lthing on an outdoor set. But we have multiple sets of each one just in case.
