What lens is it?

[Andrey B]

Just watched this beautiful film - Small Nikolas. Some shots grabbed my attention a lot. Can somebody spot what focal length of this frames?

[Nick Morrison]

Looks wide. 24mm maybe?

[Dr. Sassi]

Certainly more wide than long. I'm with Nick -- 24 sounds right.

I have put the top image into Cinema 4D, and calibrated the camera.
It is roughly a 35mm (tendency to 40) so far I can tell for 35mm FF -- or ~25 for S35.
Perhaps even 27, I double checked it, but the geometry of the set is not "so" conclusive.

[Andrey B]

Thank you! It looks wide but I am guessing how much?

[Stefan Scherperel]

To my eye, I would say the first shot is around a 28mm, the second looks to be about a 50mm.

[Eric Hurt]

If it's a S35 sensor I'd guess the first is wider than 28mm. 25 maybe, but I'd guess 21mm or possibly even a tad wider...
I'd say the second is a 32mm / 35mm or 40mm.
