What length of EVF cable for shoulder rig?

I finally picked up a Bomb EVF for my Epic-W, and I'm wondering what length of lemo cable I should get to connect the EVF to the lemo adapter on the operator side of the camera. I will probably be rigging the camera with a "recoil" style rig that puts the body over the shoulder. So the EVF will be forward from the body. I'm just wondering what length of cable other people have found best suited for this: the 18 in or the 24 in?

In the DSMC2 shoulder mount package (red store) ,the 18 is proposed in first choice but i did not try it.So i'd like to know too.
