  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

What is your Tripod setup?

Hey Felix, I have two of those older 501s. They are great little heads, very simple and smooth. But, only for my little cameras. They might work for the a lightweight DMSC setup, not sure yet...

I've currently got a Manfrotto 028B tripod (which was really cheap and does everything I need it to - very versatile too and can go from 80cm to 240cm) with a Manfrotto 701HDV Fluid Head. Since I only have a Sony HDR-SR12 consumer camera on there at the moment the 701 is fine, but I'm hoping it will be able to take the Scarlet with the accessories and my Nikon lenses...

You guys give me hope :)

I also am quite confident that you can make it work with these little Manfrotto heads. You are limited of course. But to start small they do a great job.

And my Scarlet will be, if all, light because I can't afford weight (accessories)... *grin*

Smooth as butter, solid (and heavy) as a rock.
Nice Pawel. You've got some great gear, but why the hell are you using that horrid little Red Shoulder piece lol!!! Thing I like about it is that this is the "small" version :) The bigger Atlas has handles either side of it for picking the bloody thing up... Still you could probably put a car ontop of it and still do a nice whip pan!

hehehe, thanks Paul, got rid of that horrid little Red Shoulder piece. Yes, it was as wobbly and shaky as a grandma after a bottle of Scotch. The Red Cheese plate fixed the problem.

Sachtler Video 25 II is the one I currently have too. It is good. Gets the job done. But I also think it's too heavy.
