  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Okay - so I've had the time to do a few tests with the Blueshape batteries...

I had the RED ONE MX set up with 5,6" LCD, the original EVF and a RED drive and here are the running times (in non-recording mode):

The BlueShape 210 Wh battery gives me 2 hours and 21 minutes.
The BlueShape 140 Wh battery gives me 1 hour and 36 minutes.
The BlueShape 100 Wh battery gives me 1 hour and 3 minutes.

So with the configuration above I'm essentially drawing around 1.47 Watts per minute.

I'll do another test without the EVF and the RED Drive tomorrow.

Build quality is pretty good - a little better than the original RED batteries and I like the case better too. The battery connectors seem to be newer than on my RED batteries but I did hear something about them being 2nd gen. connector blocks so maybe they realized they were a tad too soft.

I really like the fact of being able to monitor the batteries via the charger, but it's very unfortunate that BlueShape is not making a Mac-version of their monitoring software since the industry is so Mac-centric.
