  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Is it an actual video projector or just a media player capable of 4K playback?

More "just" as in 'how the hell are we supposed to display the 4K material'? :)
 
Well that's the cool thing. Right now, it's kind of hard/expensive to do that. But that doesn't mean you can't master to 4k. It will scale for you to whatever you have connected to it. An SD CRT television? No problem. 1080 HDTV? No problem. And if you're lucky enough to have a 4k monitoring option, No Problem. It's a lot more future proof than the "stop gap" of 1080p. Personally, I like the idea of finishing in the highest res possible, and letting the hardware do the downconversion for you, so that you don't need to remaster your projects or whatever when you buy a new television or projector. It's already there. Waiting.
