Hi Epic-M users. How long did it take to receive your Epic-M after you ordered?

I think this one depends on who you are.
Kaku,
even so as with everything one could rightly assume that some one could get favored vs. others, I have recommended few friends form literally opposite sizes of the world, to the Epic M program.
Each now got their cameras at different time frames, while a new friend form Dubai is now happily waiting his, so it is not a matter of hum you are,
but mostly simply a matter of how many orders are they going thru, at the time you place your order and make payment in full, good luck on your M Kaku,
sure like to see you get yours, and play together when I visit you in Japan...![]()
Thanks Ketch,
It's been a month after I email to let RED know I need one and start hearing some people getting theirs so I was wondering. I'm nobody comparing to people who are receiving, but I start to hear someone getting one from U.S. without the "giving back feedback" deal and wondering how could that be possible, and wondering in my case, I'm the odd ball because I don't work with the Japanese distributor period.

If you are implying that you have to be Peter Jackson... look at the owners list. People are assuming it will take a long time but you would be surprised. Also... look how many are out there.
People are speculating. Put in your order and find out what the real scoop is...

I'm not implying that at all. But I do remember right from the beginning it being said on the forum that Red would be selecting owners with some care. (As this post said back in February. Is that now in the past?)
I always had the impression that it was out of concern about recipients being able to deal with the bits of the camera that aren't finished yet, give useful feedback, and at least in the beginning, be close enough that you could properly support them. (David Fincher comes to mind here.) And I have to say I have always thought these were wise policies.
Clearly you don't have to be Peter Jackson, but on the other hand, I expect you guys don't want somebody complaining all over the 'net about some quirk of the camera that you're still working on. And I expect you don't want cameras to sit on a shelf, you don't learn anything from that.
That's what I meant. Sorry if my post seemed to imply something else. I have never had a problem with the choices Red has made with the M program.
Got it. I read it wrong. Agree with you now that I'm paying attention properly.
