Hi guys,
for begining i want say to all : I'm sorry for my english is very bad I now!!
I'm waiting for my stage 2 Epic X and I want to now something...
What is the difference between Epic M and Epic X??...

thanks for your reponses..

No problem. RED's plan is to stay quiet about any projects until they are shipping so new information on stage 2 will be nonexistent until it's ship date... which no one knows... sucks, but understandable.

EPIC M is hand-machined, hand-built. Available in very limited qualities.

EPIC X is delayed due to the horrendous situation in Japan.

In features and design both are the same.

? Electronics are the same, so Ms are also delayed. If the cast of the X are made, there should be no difference between X and M delay.

The reason being the epic-M has always been understood to be a limited availability camera - you can't just buy it, it's more of an application process. Epic-X is designed to be manufactured in large quantities. They have enough parts laying around to continue at the current pace they have set for the M program, not enough for the large scale manufacturing required by the X.

Red is also a business which means if they have a set quantity of parts, and they could sell half at one price and half at twice that price, or they could just sell all of them at the higher price they're going to sell all of them at the higher price - especially given the fact they now have plenty of time to spend on assembling the few parts they have. It's supply and demand, and at this point Jim is making the wise decision to make as much money as he can off of what he has.
