This is my 1st post. I have been looking at this forum for several months now.
Could some one give me a definition for the following and what each does.

Red Alert
Red Rush
Redcini
Red Code
Clipfinder

It is a tad confusing. Do you need all of these programs?

I'll tell ya what I know...

Red Alert - I use for creating "look files" or for color correcting shots and then loading the color corrected look manually back in to the camera. I have also created look files from REDALERT that is then applied to footage during transcoding. It is a good place to "check your footage".

Red Rushes - Is a tool used for "transcoding" footage in to formats other than R3D.

Redcine is a "conform" tool, where you can color correct and output to other formats (more elaborate than redrushes).

Clipfinder - I haven't used, but I believe is a clip management tool.
