what is that LOCK mean's ?

Today i surprised with this icon on my LCD screen beside iso readings something near like this

what this is mean ? for what this warning , i couldn't find anything about it
IN tHE USER GUIDE ?

Hi,

I think the padlock symbol means you're genlocked & the chain symbol means you're timecode jam-synced. What have you got plugged into your Red? You're right, the manual is incredibly vague about these symbols considering how important they can be...

Genlock

Genlock

Gen lock = Generator Lock as in Frame Sync generator.

This means is that if you give the camera a Genlock signal it can lock to that to ensure that its shutter scans at the precise same time as any other camera locked off to the same Genlock signal.
