What parts are ready and shipping with Stage 2? I hear the Redmote is back-ordered. I don't think Redvolts are shipping yet. Anything else? Trying to figure out what I need to make a working Epic package right now?

Thanks,
Dusty

I'm assuming you have a working RED One right now which should mean that you'll just need a way to connect your v-mount batteries to the X. Whether that's the Epic backpack setup or a third party solution that a lot of people are using, or an adapter for your current battery mount. A quick search on Reduser should show the different things people are using right now.

I received...
Epic-X Body w/spiffy hard case & Aluminum port cap
5" Pro LCD W/cable
Redvolt charger
2x Redvolts
I also ordered two more Redvolts that came as well as an AC power supply and timecode cable.

What I ordered that didn't come yet...
Red side handle
2nd Redvolt charger
Redmote

Thanks guys.

Is there a battery module shipping with Epic so you can use the Redvolts?

Dusty
The DSMC Side Handle holds one REDVolt battery and supplies power to the camera. My tests suggest approximately half an hour of shooting time (24 fps @ 5K) from one fully charged battery.

I'd recommend ordering an AC adapter. It doesn't come with one.

And it's pretty much required for doing firmware updates. RED wants firmware updates powered by AC and not batteries for some reason.

Side Handle is heavily backordered. I put in an order about a month ago. Bomb EVF is supposed to be catching up quickly.

Sorry I mean how buttery Redvolte can be connected?:) I mean how Epic-X gets power? Where is buttery? How can I connect Redvolte without DSMC side modul? What is battery module adapter?:

Most are either using the A/C power or have the lemo for connecting Red Bricks (belt packs/cradle etc.)
