I have the latest FCPX...Any help! Can anyone try to update everything in their mac and see if have the same problem???

BUT VERY STRANGE....I imported with NO problem a 5K R3D file from Scarlet W and works good....why???

I also reinstalled the red plug in but nothing!!
What I need to do???

The latest one, all is updated in my Imac! It was working two days ago..then today I did a standard update and BANG nothing!!!

No offense, but I can't really help you if you don't give more info. What version number exactly? I had an issue previously with more than one program where it said no updates available and it was installing an old version. Are you on 10.3.1?

Hmm, seems odd. Have you done a full uninstall of FCX, reboot, install, reboot, install RED Apple Plugins, reboot, then tried? Apple apps sometimes do their initial scan when the computer boots as opposed to when you open the program. Might be worth a shot? Other than that I don't have any suggestions. I might also consider posting this issue in the Post Production -> Apple Workflow section as you might find some more help there.

I tried it with newest release of Sierra, newest pro video update, and shot tests in 8k, 7kHD, 6kHD at 23.98 and the 6k at various speeds -- did not have any purple frames -- but I was worried. I looked on the newest FCP X 10.3.1. The OS is 10.12.2. This was all on Epic W compression 12:1 with 512 minimag.

So you has the new update 10.22.2 ? It worked? So what happened to me then? Do you think I need to reinstall FCPX?

10.12.2 which is the newest release, and afterwards it asked to update the Pro Video formats which I did. Not sure what happened to you. I also did update to the latest version of firmware for the camera itself which is 6.3.57. At first I had problems with the side handle focusing (went out of focus when I hit record) but rediscovering fixed that. I would suggest trying the latest firmware for the camera if you have not, then try to shoot something and see what happens.
