  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

What is EPIC?

When Epic-S will hit the streets, will there be other international stores to get them or just Red USA and Pinewood ?
 
EPIC-S will initially be available from RED... Lake Forest and Pinewood, UK. We will add resellers as we go.

Ok, thanks Jim. Just a small note : a bunch of Red buyers have problems with customs through Fedex, it would be nice to offer other delivery couriers, I think.
 
After the success of Reduser forum, big companies like Arri started actively in discussion with their users through their Arri Digital Forum. Truly Red is showing even competitors how to interact with their users effectively.
 
EPIC-M, -X, -S all made in USA, assembled in California.


Great news and bright future...
 
As soon as our competitors realize that defining the future matters (instead of 1080P stupidity) and that embracing the customer as if they were you was what was important... there wouldn't be a need for RED. (ignore my grammar... it is late)

This may already be common knowledge who is the brain child behind the EPIC and the DSMC concept? Obviously the EPIC resulted from the collabortion of many but who sparked the development of the camera?

EPICs have more resolution than any digital motion capture camera... at 120fps.

EPICs have more dynamic range than you need natively... and HDRx if you need more. More than any other camera including film.

EPIC is upgradeable. Actually... it is also the upgrade.

EPICs are shooting most every major budget feature film for every studio.

Here's the crazy thing about Epic for me, it is not just a camera.

Epic is a box that creates a feeling inside a filmmaker. A box that gives you the feeling that you had when you first picked up a camera and knew that cinema was what you wanted to do.

Any company can make a camera, Red makes a camera that creates a feeling. That is the difference.

It's fun to point that out and all but it's also important to remember that most of those claims were made back when there were like 10 other groups saying they were making cameras like the red one, it just so happens red was the only company that wasn't full of it.
