what is difference between super16mm,redcam and viper-which is best output in 35mm blowup

which is best output in 35mm blowup

Speaking sensor size and lens options alone, RED One, seeing as how REDOne has a S35mm sensor and can take 35mm lenses natively... you need an adapter with the Viper for 35mm lenses and I don't think 16mm cameras could ever take 35mm lenses.

thanks alot

thanks alot Andrew sir

Hi,

35mm lenes are often used on a S16 camera, especially focal lengths of 35mm or above. With a Viper I would use digi primes & not film lenses with an adapter.

Well, it of course depends on how you shoot each one. They can all look very good in blow-up to 35mm. With Super 16, you'll definitely see quite a bit of grain. Depending on how you shoot the Viper, you can make it look any number of different ways. On one end, check out Michael Mann's Miami Vice. On the other, check out Fincher's Zodiac. Very different looks, depending how you shoot it.

Red will almost definitely give you the cleanest image, and it's definitely got more resolution than either Super 16 or the Viper. As long as you handle the highlights well, no reason why it shouldn't look fantastic.

So, it basically depends on the look you want. S16 will likely have better highlight handling, but it will be relatively grainy. RED will likely be very clean, and will certainly be higher resolution, and Viper will run the gamut, depending on how you shoot it (not that the other cameras won't vary in image quality depending on how they're shot, but from what I've seen, Viper has a really wide range of looks).
