What field monitor for 1080p?

color, blacks and callibration

color, blacks and callibration

Hello Steve,
Short of a miracle(you know who has the market cornered on it:devil: ) the viewing angles color consistancy is as good as they get with the latest generation LCD technology. No one can truthfully claim better. Our contrast enhancement deals very well with deepening the blacks without compromising off axis viewing. I'm going to do some callibration soon(these are just finished prototypes) and will report to you with results on the forum.
Our goal is to supply a reference field monitor for location and take the same monitor with these same settings into an editing bay for post. This is the only way to assure consistant results for finished product.
BTW-I feel awkward hijacking David's thread- can we take this to my monitor thread if you have more questions and comments?

sunlight viewability is good but you really need a hood for this size panel
to see accurate colors

How would you use it?(frame store)

Just wanted to bump this thread...now that B16 is out.
Has anyone had luck with 1080P playback on the (low cost) Dell 2408 or Samsung monitors?
Would like to see the whole image but not too concerned about menus etc as I always have the LCD and EVF plugged in.
Thanks for any comments or experiences, especially with the DELL.

Plura Broadcast PBM-117D

Guys,
You need to check out the Plura PBM-117D i have been using it for the last 6 months now.
True Dual link 4:4:4 or 4:2:2 monitor , best i have ever seem
Very good value for money
I purchased it from a dealer in the US , list is only $ 4,999.00.
I paid less ofcourse.....
I evaluated many others like TV logic, Tamuz & e-cinema
the Plura and TV logic were neck & neck , E-cinema came third and Tamuz was last. Therfore i decided to buy the Plura PBM-117D due to price.
It has all the features you will ever want.
