  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

What do you think the next "Red" Camera will be named?

Low Range: Scarlet Two

Personally, I'd love it if they named their high-end one:
Red 9000 Demento Destruct-all Cabernet Reserve Sir Planetkiller III B Plus

It'd be fun to watch everyone try to reserve copycat domain names like red9kddacrsp3bpuser.tv etc when it gets announced.

Could be anything considering how the word epic isn't a red hue. My guess is they are going to focus on making their crrent 3 cameras as stable as possible and working on future sensors.

There is speculation on ScarletUser that there will be two verions of Scarlet Released. Speculation...fun stuff. hehe:biggrin:

Screw that. Skip that AND Leviticus. Go straight to Deuteronomy and Numbers.
If those aren't dramatic enough names, I don't know what to name them.
 
Nirvana - Mind Beam
Hype - 4x8k 4D Trans-mutated Lens Sphere
Bolt - 2x4k 3D
Epic - 5k skillet
Red One - 4k iron skillet
Scarlet - 3k pocket
Pips - Cell phone sensor
 
I know, the next high end red camera will be called HALL9000 :glare:

Yeah!!! I tought back then that the red one was the "one" (and only). But in many ways it is the one (still waiting for mine). Its the one that brought high quality (or cine quality) to a vast amount of users for an affordable price.

So hail to the red and hail for J. Jannard and Co. :gun:

And is the one and only high end camera that I can afford.... Anyway, If I had more budget I`ll spend it on lenses, cuz there`s no better camera so far... maybe Epic someay.
 
The next RED camera will be called "Insertion". It will be an ultra-compact 3K camera that can be swallowed like a pill or strategically placed by medical imaging professionals.

...What's that you see on the MRI? A tumor? Let's do an "Insertion" and take a picture of it. ...See surgical training videos from a whole new perspective.


Next on the roadmap will be "Peep". They will be 0.25mm thick and come on a sheet of paper with an adhesive backing and pre-set IP address. Each will be disposable with an 8-12 hour lifespan once activated and have full WiFi capability. About 3/4" in diameter, looks like a black sticky dot. You place them wherever you want -- on a ceiling, wall, light pole, bathroom stall, etc.. Then have your receiver system anywhere within about 500ft.

OK, I'm having too much fun with this...
