What Can Replace These Great Little Pouches?

[Mike Yonts]

I have a couple of these–they were made by Outdoor Research and I got mine about ten years ago. They came in a few different sizes, and the square shapes make them great for organizing small pieces of gear inside bigger cases. The quarter-inch of padding all the way around provides just enough protection for a lot of things. I'd love to get some more, but OR doesn't sell them anymore, and I've never been able to find anything similar.

If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

Mountainsmith makes something like that. You can find them at mountainsmith.com. There are some other similar things at REI here http://www.rei.com/category/4501740
