What are todays HD Color Grading monitor options?
Simple as that
What are you guys using for HD color grading 10bit please.

Thanks

Hi guys what kind of HD Color Grading monitor options? and which you are using? I have Mac-pro with color 1.5 for red 1 footage.

I have 30" cinema display for color grading but I am not satisfied suggest me for color grading monitor in Mac-pro with color 1.5.

I've read that FSI is one of the best monitors out there you can use, for a more affordable setup a lot of people use a aja and or black magic, with aja converter to dreamcolor for full 10 bit referencing.

i hear a lot of people aren't happy with the new sony's luma series, and I don't believe Panasonic has a 10 bit solution at the moment, lcd wise. (please correct me if i'm wrong) There's also TV LOGIC, ECINEMA, and of course Panasonic plasma solutions.

FSI is actually very affordable option to AJA/Dreamcolor.

What's up with ecinema- I think I read somewhere that they were AWOL?

the 10 bit LED monitor from FSI is 9k-ish compared to dreamcolor 1800. the price difference is huge. yes... i've been reading that about ecinema too. dunno.

Dreamcolor with AJA Hi5-3G is an affordable option, but you have to really tweak the dreamcolor settings to get them right. I'm still working on it after a few weeks and seem to find a new tweak everytime i use it. Definately bring down the luminence levels and gamma for REC709 is @ 2.4....going to move it to 2.2 Anyway, it is a good affordable option and gets you 95% there if you don't want to drop 9k

Ah, I was looking at the 2450 thinking it was the 2470! Yes, big difference. Thanks for correcting me.
