Thanks all for a bunch of great threads on electronic/remote follow focus!
I'm now trying to figure out the best way of powering a follow focus receiver. (I'm purchasing a fstop wireless receiver btw)
For large cinema lenses, i have noticed the amp ratings can be fairly high (i.e. powering a heden, or even multpile motors on one receiver).
I'm one of the Scarlet crowd, been around awhile, but this is my first foray into the camera side, and I find the entire accessory power options super confusing.
I've seen a lot of the very high end options (i.e. where the power system costs more then my scarlet), and I don't want to get a low end power options(thus end up just rebuying).
Using red power/battery stuff seems like an option, it seems perty expensive to power accessories ... I'm really looking for something solid and cheap. My camera is always on a tripod/jib/dolly so I'm not so much worried about weight, but things get to be a hassle when the camera is way out on a jib.
Any suggestions on low end vs high end are welcome (i keep purchasing low end on stuff, then realize i have to re-buy as i'm in production and things aren't going so swell). I guess i'm rambling ... which goes to say how confusing I find the power options on high end camera's(I did power systems on spacecraft for a few years, I swear the power systems in cinema are more complex).
