  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hey I've seen posts where people are claiming 5k playback with single titan but I'm getting like 1/4 with jitter off a fast drive so I am concerned I'm missing something. What kind of results have you guys seen, what's your CPU, and any ideas on what's slowing me down?

I still have to play with overclocking the CPU.

I have:

GTX Titan

G.SKILL Ripjaw Z Series 32 gb RAM

I7-4770K Haswell 3.5 ghz

Footage is on a Corsair Neutron SSD

What do you use for playback? Only the beta version of redcine-x uses the GPU for playback. Other versions use CPU only.
We get 1/2 in 5K, I think only with a red rocket will you get full quality

Yep on the latest beta. Checked the tab where you can select the GPU too.

Before you play, you must wait about 60 seconds for the playback buffer to fill up in memory. (Make sure you set the allow memory usage setting to like 28gb RAM)
Simultaneous frame processing should be set to the number of cores you have. A six core i7 with hyperthreading is basically 12 cores, so that's 12 simultaneous frames.

Maybe post a screenshot of your settings also?

Good luck
