  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Will any of these new units solve the extreme limitation the Red One currently has at handling long exposures.

In spite of several threads on this issue (red and blue fixed position hot pixels all over the frames) no-one at Red seems to have responded and explained what causes these and if they are ever going to be fixed.

They don't seem to exist on any other digital capture system I've ever seen.

When I bought my Red one I thought it would be a solution to all my shooting needs. Because of this problem I still have to carry a full dslr kit to shoot my long exposure time-lapse sequences.

Not really interested in upgrading or switching to scarlet if this issue is not solved.

Anybody from Red care to comment on forthcoming 2009 sensors ... ie : if they will improve the current RED1 long exposure behavior ?
