Anyone have this appear on your footage? I noticed after the update the camera started doing this? Is the footage useless now?

Thanks,

Daniel

Yeah I have already contacted Red and sent in my log files waiting for a response. The weird part is its only on random clips. I hope the footage can be fixed.

Thats not moire, thats data/frame corruption. Let us know the diagnosis from RED.

I have the original card still here and it's like that on the card so it's not a bad copy if the original is like that. I will let everyone know what Red says.

Ah okay, thought it was a copy for some reason. That is weird then, and oh yeah not moire as Matt said.

Your camera needs to be sent back to RED.

I've had this issue and had to send my camera back. They gave me a loaner while my camera was gone. Final decision was they couldn't repair my old camera and sent me a brand spanking new one. Good ol' RED customer service right there!

There's no way AFAIK. It's a hardware issue and whatever has been shot cannot be saved.

Contact Nick Grow ASAP if you can, he'll get you sorted out quick.
